This antique Naga Manten Kinatah Emas Tombak dates from the Mataram abad XVIII-era (Late 18th century).
The Tombak is forged to Naga Manten dapur. Two amazingly fine forged twin dragons adorn the base of the Tombak. The wilah is forged with a striking Ngulit Semangka pamor.
Nogo Manten symbolizes a pair of dragon brides. The twin dragons on the sor-soran are like a bridal couple. In Indonesia, Java is an area with a long wedding procession. In the eyes of the Javanese, the bride is king and queen for a day. The completeness of the royal attire on the bridal dragon motif can be interpreted as meaning that a household built by a marriage relationship is a kingdom for a husband and wife and their children in the future. The husband is the king and the wife is the consort. As a kingdom, the household must maintain its sovereignty and honor. They are on the same side in every problem, trial, temptation and challenge.
