This ancient keris dates from the Pajajaran era (12th century).
 
That this keris was once forged for a high-ranking person can be seen from the complex forged floral motifs on the ganja with remnants of gold. I have chosen to only have the wilah ritually washed in warangan in order to keep the antique gold decorations on the ganja intact.
 
The wilah is forged with a light gray pamor Wahyu Tumurun. Wahyu Tumurun literally means "revelation that descends." By its name alone, this pamor motif has an element of high expectations, an honorable position and also an established value in life. Pamor Wahyu Tumurun kris is interpreted as a symbol to attain a high position through the intercession of the almighty. Even if one is smart and skilled in science, literature and so on, but if you have not received revelation, of course you cannot get a position.
 
Wahyu Tumurun possesses magical powers that make the owner radiate an attitude of competence through which the owner will receive revelations in both material and immaterial sense. In history, this pamor motif was much sought after by high-ranking soldiers and statesmen. Today this pamor is popular among managers, directors and other executives.
 
In addition to the striking pamor motif, the wilah is forged to Mayat dapur (shape). In Old Javanese / kawi language; Mayat means tilted, steep or uphill. The philosophy of this dapur is to try with all your effort and sacrifice to achieve success but not lose sight of taking good care of each other. Dapur Mayat possesses magical powers that will help the owner of the keris to persevere during difficult times in his life. He will be able to bring seemingly insurmountable problems to a successful conclusion.
 
At the top of the keris is a beautifully carved Nunggak Semi hilt from Surakarta with deeply carved patra-patras (masks). The handle is finished with a silver Robyong mendak.
 
The keris is housed in a Solo Gayaman warangka of beautiful, shiny Cendana Wangi wood. A two-piece slorok pendok with silver insert covers the gandar.

Deze oude keris stamt van de Pajajaran era (12de eeuw).
 
Dat deze keris ooit gesmeed is voor een hooggeplaatst persoon is te zien aan de complex gesmede florale motieven op de ganja met restanten van goud. Ik heb ervoor gekozen om alleen te wilah ritueel in warangan te laten wassen om zo het antieke gouden versieringen op de ganja in takt te laten.
 
De wilah is gesmeed met een lichtgrijze pamor Wahyu Tumurun. Wahyu Tumurun betekent letterlijk ‘opbaring die neerdaalt’. Alleen al door zijn naam heeft dit pamor motief een element van hoge verwachtingen, een eervolle positie en ook een gevestigde waarde in het leven. Pamor Wahyu Tumurun kris wordt geïnterpreteerd als een symbool om op een hoge positie door de tussenkomst van de almachtige te bereiken. Ook al is iemand slim en bekwaam in wetenschap, literatuur enzovoort, maar als je geen openbaring hebt ontvangen, kun je natuurlijk geen positie krijgen.
 
Wahyu Tumurun bezit magische krachten die de eigenaar een houding van bekwaamheid laat uitstralen waardoor de eigenaar openbaringen zal ontvangen in zowel materiele als immateriële zin. In de historie werd dit pamor motief veel gezocht door hooggeplaatste militairen en staatslieden. Thans is dit pamor populair onder managers, directeuren en andere leidinggevenden.
 
Naast het opvallende pamormotief is de wilah gesmeed naar Mayat dapur (vorm). In Oud-Javaans / kawi taal; betekent Mayat gekanteld, steil of bergop. De filosofie van deze dapur is om met al je moeite en opoffering te proberen succes te behalen maar niet uit het oog te verliezen om goed voor elkaar te zorgen. Dapur Mayat bezit magische krachten die de eigenaar van de keris zal helpen om door te zetten tijdens moeilijke tijden in zijn leven. Ogenschijnlijke onoverkomelijke problemen zal hij weten tot een succesvolle afloop te brengen.
 
Aan de bovenzijde van de keris prijkt een prachtig gesneden Nunggak Semi greep van Surakarta met diep gesneden patra-patra’s (maskers). De greep is afgezet met een zilveren Robyong mendak.
 
De keris huist in een Solo Gayaman warangka van prachtig, glanzend Cendana Wangi hout. Een tweedelige slorok pendok met zilverkleurige inzet bedekt de gandar.
