This antique Madura Tilam Upih keris dates from the Madura abad XIX-era (19th Century).
 
The wilah is forged with the rare pamor Lintang Kemukus. The motif of pamor Lintang Kemukus has a straight-line pattern from the tip of the wilah which is often referred to as sodo saler, then at the bottom or sor-soran the keris forms a pattern of lawe saukel or sphere like sprouting out or also half a tree stump. The name lintang kemukus itself has meaning, Lintang (star) Kemukus (plume of smoke) is a shooting star and it looks like smoke that is rising. This pamor motif has spiritual powers that bring the owner hope and happiness, ensuring he and his family a steady income. Dreams become reality. In addition, it provides safety and protection to the owner and his family.
 
Furthermore, the wilah is forged to Tilam Upih dapur. Dapur Tilam Upih is a straight dapur keris, classified as simple with no other bells and whistles. The popularity of this dapur is not without reason, it is a dapur that is neat and not too crowded which makes many people willing to wear it. On the other hand, there is a strong belief in the community so far that isoteric, powerful heirlooms are usually found in a simple (straight) dhapur such as brojol and tilam upih and not in the more complex dapurs. Deze antieke Madura Tilam Upih keris dateert uit het Madura abad XIX-tijdperk (19e eeuw).
 
De wilah is gesmeed met de zeldzame pamor Lintang Kemukus. Het motief van pamor Lintang Kemukus heeft een rechtlijnig patroon vanaf de punt van de wilah, dat vaak sodo saler wordt genoemd, en aan de onderkant of sor-soran vormt de keris een patroon van lawe saukel of bol, zoals uitspruiten van een halve boomstronk. De naam lintang kemukus zelf heeft betekenis, Lintang (ster) Kemukus (rookpluim) is een vallende ster en lijkt op opstijgende rook. Dit pamormotief heeft spirituele krachten die de eigenaar hoop en geluk brengen, waardoor hij en zijn gezin een vast inkomen krijgen. Dromen worden werkelijkheid. In feite is de keris Tilam Upih een symbool van een vrouw dat altijd het symbool van mannelijkheid vergezelt.
