This regal, antique Lombok Kebo Layer kris, keris dates from the Lombok XIX (early 19th century).
All aspects of this rare keris confirm its regal character. To start with, the keris is housed in a beautiful and rare Kekojongan (Walikat) warangka made of silver with deeply chased, three-dimensional floral motifs, which is set with 6 large rubies.
The top of the keris features an equally impressive silver Tapoek handle.
The spectacle continues as the keris is pulled from the warangka. The large wilah measures no less than 48cm (excluding handle). It is forged with a light gray version of the rare and difficult to forge pamor Ujung Gunung.
