This antique Tilam Upih keris dates from the Mataram Tuban Abad XVII-era (17th century).
The wilah (blade) is forged with a striking and antique version of pamor Udan Mas.
Pamor Udan Mas is one of the legendary pamor motifs that is very famous in the keris world. This pamor is often seen as the 'sugih' pamor whose luck can keep the owner "overloaded" with heavy food. Javanese call them 'kuwat kebandan' (rich talent). Because of this belief, many people especially those who work as merchants and businessmen want a keris with Udan Mas pamor. Apart from the esoteric factor, from the technical side, forging this pamor is very difficult and expensive, which makes the value of pamor udan mas the highest compared to other circular pamor motifs (bonang senenteng, sekar kopi, melati sinebar, etc.
Udan = rain, Mas = gold, literally means 'rain of gold', as a symbol of wealth, prosperity and high morals. The meaning is 'sabda dadi', which means to hope that all desires that come from a clear heart or soul will come true.
In addition to the rare pamor, the wilah is forged to Tilam Upih dapur (shape). The popularity of this dapur is not without reason, it is a dapur that is neat and not too crowded which makes many people willing to wear it. On the other hand, until now there is a strong belief in the community that isoteric, powerful heirlooms are usually found in a simple (straight) dapur such as brojol and tilam upih and not in the more complex dapurs. Moreover, according to ancient records, almost all qualified masters of the Pajajaran era up to Mataram preached the two dapurs in their spiritual works. A keris with Tilam Upih dapur possesses magical properties that enhances its owner in his manhood. It optimizes the relationship with his life partner and allows him to maintain and protect his family.
The top of the keris is adorned with an antique Solo Nunggak semi hilt with deeply carved patra-patra’s (masks).
The keris is housed in a Solo Gayaman warangka of the striking Cendana Wangi wood. In Indonesia, it is believed that this wood can strengthen the isi of strong keris and ward off evil jinn and black magic.

De wilah (kling) is gesmeed met een opvallende en antieke versie van pamor Udan Mas.
Pamor Udan Mas is een van de legendarische pamor-motieven die zeer beroemd is in de keriswereld. Deze pamor wordt vaak gezien als de 'sugih' pamor wiens geluk de eigenaar "overbelast" kan houden met zwaar voedsel. Javanen noemen ze 'kuwat kebandan' (rijk talent). Vanwege dit geloof willen veel mensen, vooral degenen die als kooplieden en zakenlieden werken, een keris met Udan Mas pamor. Afgezien van de esoterische factor, vanuit technisch oogpunt, is het smeden van deze pamor erg moeilijk en duur, waardoor de waarde van pamor udan mas het hoogst is in vergelijking met andere cirkelvormige pamormotieven (bonang senenteng, sekar kopi, melati sinebar, etc).
Udan = regen, Mas = goud, betekent letterlijk 'regen van goud', als symbool van rijkdom, welvaart en hoge moraal. De betekenis is 'sabda dadi', wat betekent hopen dat alle verlangens die uit een helder hart of een zuivere ziel komen, zullen uitkomen.
Naast de zeldzame pamor is de wilah gesmeed naar Tilam Upih dapur (vorm). De populariteit van deze dapur is niet voor niets, het is een dapur die netjes is en niet te druk waardoor veel mensen hem graag willen dragen. Aan de andere kant bestaat er tot nu toe een sterk geloof in de gemeenschap dat isoterische, krachtige erfstukken meestal worden aangetroffen in een eenvoudige (rechte) dapur zoals brojol en tilam upih en niet in de meer complexe dapurs. Bovendien predikten volgens oude verslagen bijna alle gekwalificeerde meesters uit het Pajajaran-tijdperk tot aan Mataram de twee dapurs in hun spirituele werken. Een keris met Tilam Upih dapur bezit magische eigenschappen die de mannelijkheid van de eigenaar versterken. Het optimaliseert de relatie met zijn levenspartner en stelt hem in staat zijn gezin te onderhouden en te beschermen.
Aan de bovenzijde prijkt Solo Nunggak semi greep met diep gesneden patra-patra’s (maskers).
De keris huist in een Solo Gayaman warangka van het opvallende Cendana Wangi-hout. In Indonesië wordt aangenomen dat dit hout de isi van sterke keris kan versterken en kwade djinn en zwarte magie kan afweren.
Een vergulde, zilveren Bunton-pendok bedekt de gandar.
