This antique and spiritual powerful Brojol keris dates from the Mataram Sepuh Kuno – Abad XVII-era (17th century).
The wilah is a true mastership of forging technique. It is forged with an amazing execution of the rare pamor Lar Gangsir. This pamor is rare because not many Empu’s possess the mastership and spiritual power to forge it. In keeping with the name Lar = wing and Gangsir = a type of large cricket, the pamor motif is similar to that on the wings of a cricket. Pamor lar gangsir has mythical and spiritual powers that bring good luck to the owner and prevent the owner from being attacked by witchcraft and disturbance by ghosts and malicious persons. Lar Gangsir = The title of Ageman Siro, it is said to be a teaching of makrifat Sunan kalijaga which means the title or position of rank, fame, wealth, beauty and good looks and so on in this world is just an 'ageman' or clothing that can be worn and taken off. It's not forever for the owner, it's all a deposit from the Almighty that he will surely ask again one day. Like a pamphlet in our lives, we must not be caught by the brilliance of the sparkling world life.
