This antique Bethok – Jalak Buda keris dates from the Singosari abad XIII-era (13th century).
 
The wilah is forged to Bethok – Jalak Buda dapur. The shape of a Bethok keris is quite different from other kerisses. Bethok krissen have a wider wilah. The length of the wilah is only about half or three quarters the length of a normal keris. The gandik is simple, quite long in size. Kerisses with Betok dapur are usually very old kerisses that date from before the Islamization of Indonesia. There is even a Betok keris from the Kubudan era. Some keris aficionados say that this keris is good for those who have an aggressive and often determined nature, as it is believed to reduce bad natures. Keris with dapur Bethok are very rare and therefore very popular among keris collectors. The reason is that this dapur (form) functions as an overlapping keris, also called the caretaker's kris, which is believed to neutralize negative auras. The keris strata, written or not, actually refers to the patronizing system in Javanese culture. The most respected people are the oldest. Although not rigidly applicable, in the social order of Javanese society, the old people take precedence. So, it is common that later in the kris world the Bethok keris is placed as an elder (considered the eldest) and believed to be able to dampen the negative auras of the younger krises. The Purwacarito Buddhist keris is a discovery keris with a distinctive shape.
 
The top of the keris is adorned with a rare Nunggak semi Jawatimuran hilt. The keris houses in a beautifully carved Sandang Walikat warangka of Jati wood.

Deze antieke Bethok – Jalak Buda keris dateert uit het Singosari abad XIII-tijdperk (13e eeuw).
 
De wilah is gesmeed naar Bethok – Jalak Buda dapur. De vorm van een Bethok keris is behoorlijk anders dan andere kerissen. Bethok krissen heeft een bredere wilah. De lengte van de wilah is slechts ongeveer de helft of driekwart van de lengte van een normale keris. De gandik is eenvoudig, vrij lang van formaat. Kerissen met Betok dapur zijn doorgaans zeer oude kerissen die dateren van vóór de islamisering van Indonesië. Er is zelfs een Betok keris uit het Kubudan-tijdperk. Sommige keris liefhebbers zeggen dat deze keris goed is voor mensen met een agressieve en vaak vastberaden aard, omdat wordt aangenomen dat het slechte aard vermindert. Keris met dapur Bethok zijn zeer zeldzaam en daarom erg populair onder keris verzamelaars. De reden is dat deze dapur (vorm) functioneert als een overlappende keris, ook wel de kris van de verzorger genoemd, waarvan wordt aangenomen dat deze negatieve aura's neutraliseert. De keris strata, al dan niet geschreven, verwijst feitelijk naar het betuttelende systeem in de Javaanse cultuur. De meest gerespecteerde mensen zijn de oudste. Hoewel niet strikt toepasbaar, hebben in de sociale orde van de Javaanse samenleving de oude mensen voorrang. Het is dus gebruikelijk dat de Bethok keris later in de kriswereld als oudste wordt geplaatst (beschouwd als de oudste) en wordt aangenomen dat hij de negatieve aura's van de jongere krises kan dempen. De Purwacarito boeddhistische keris is een ontdekkingskeris met een opvallende vorm.
 
Op de bovenzijde prijkt een zeldzame Nunggak semi Jawatimuran greep. De keris huist in een prachtig gesneden Sandang Walikat warangka van Jati hout.
 
De spirituele krachten van de Isi van deze oude kris zijn sterk en levendig. Terwijl hij met deze keris mediteerde, openbaarde de Isi zich als een hogepriester. Hij bleek de bewaker van het onderbewustzijn en de leraar van heilige kennis en verborgen mysteries te zijn. Zittend op de drempel van de bewuste en onderbewuste geest. Hij leert je dat de wereld niet altijd is wat hij lijkt en dat er vaak diepgaandere invloeden in het spel zijn.
