This antique and magical Cirebon Biring Lanang Tombak dates back to the Cirebon abad XV era (15th century).
 
The Tombak is forged to Dapur Biring Lanang. Biring is the common name for a straight Tombak dhapur whose blade is flat and symmetrical. Tombak Biring itself actually consists of several variants, including: lanang biring, wadon biring, drajit biring and sumben biring. Kanjeng Kiyahi Ageng Plered, the heirloom spear of the Sultanate Palace of Yogyakarta, is also said to have Biring dhapur, but it is not known exactly what type of Biring dhapur.
 
The Biring Lanang tombak usually has a stocky, strong and sharp wilah. These Tombaks were generally (not all) intended as a weapon of war. The spiritual power is usually "hot", it is believed that when people carry a spear, this dapur becomes a brave person and is not afraid of anything. These Tombaks used to be worn by the Senopati warlords. This Tombak can be mounted on long landeyans such as blandaran (3x the length of the owner's body), panurung (2x the length of the owner's body), pegon (1x the length of the owner's body plus the stretching of the arm up) or short landeyan-like, limpung (length from the tip of the middle finger to the elbow) or landheyan sekilan.
 
Furthermore, the wilah is forged with a striking version of pamor Tejo Kinurung. Tejo Kinurung, is one of the pamor motifs which is actually a combination of Sada Saler and the prestige of Wengkon or Tepen. There are also people who call this prestige Adeg Tiga or Adeg Wengkon. The entire edge of the tombak is circled with a pamor that resembles the edge of the frame, while in the center there is a pamor that resembles a line. Although it looks minimalist (simple), in terms of working it has a high level of difficulty. Maintaining bends with the same spacing and distance at the edge of the blade and connecting them continuously can only be done by a qualified master. Tejo Kinuring's pamor lines are meaningful symbols. The first pamor line (right) describes a man who is responsible for himself and his family and is obliged to provide optimal care for his family. The second pamor line (left) symbolizes a greater responsibility as he must protect those around him, while the third pamor line (middle) is intended for those who are destined to become "great people" capable of protecting entire nations. Tejo-Kinuring strengthens the owner's leadership qualities and charisma, making him very loved and respected by both his family and immediate environment.
 
The Tombak is mounted on a beautifully carved manke landeyan with copper end piece. An equally finely crafted warangka covers the Tombak.

Deze antieke en magische Cirebon Biring Lanang Tombak dateert uit het Cirebon abad XV-tijdperk (15e eeuw).
 
De Tombak is gesmeed tot Dapur Biring Lanang. Biring is de algemene naam voor een rechte Tombak dhapur waarvan het blad plat en symmetrisch is. Tombak Biring zelf bestaat eigenlijk uit verschillende varianten, waaronder: lanang biring, wadon biring, drajit biring en sumben biring. Kanjeng Kiyahi Ageng Plered, de erfstukspeer van het Sultanaatspaleis van Yogyakarta, zou ook Biring dhapur hebben, maar het is niet precies bekend welk type Biring dhapur.
 
De Biring Lanang tombak heeft meestal een gedrongen, sterke en scherpe wilah. Deze Tombaks waren over het algemeen (niet allemaal) bedoeld als oorlogswapen. De spirituele kracht is meestal "heet", men gelooft dat wanneer mensen een speer dragen, deze dapur een dapper persoon wordt en nergens bang voor is. Deze Tombaks werden vroeger gedragen door de Senopati krijgsheren. Deze Tombak kan gemonteerd worden op lange land heyans zoals blandaran (3x de lengte van het lichaam van de eigenaar), panurung (2x de lengte van het lichaam van de eigenaar), pegon (1x de lengte van het lichaam van de eigenaar plus het strekken van de arm omhoog) of korte landeyan-achtig, limpung (lengte van de top van de middelvinger met de elleboog) of landheyan sekilan.
 
Verder is de wilah gesmeed met een opvallende versie van pamor Tejo Kinurung. Tejo Kinurung, is een van de pamor-motieven die eigenlijk een combinatie is van Sada Saler en het prestige van Wengkon of Tepen. Er zijn ook mensen die dit prestige Adeg Tiga of Adeg Wengkon noemen. De hele rand van de tombak is omcirkeld met een pamor die lijkt op de rand van het frame, terwijl er in het midden een pamor is die lijkt op een lijn. Hoewel het er minimalistisch (eenvoudig) uitziet, heeft het qua werken een hoge moeilijkheidsgraad. Het aanhouden van bochten met dezelfde tussenruimte en afstand aan de rand van het blad en ononderbroken verbinden kan alleen door een gekwalificeerde meester. De pamorlijnen van Tejo Kinuring zijn betekenisvolle symbolen. De eerste pamorlijn(rechts) beschrijft een man die verantwoordelijk is voor zichzelf en zijn gezin en verplicht is om optimaal voor zijn gezin te zorgen. De tweede pamorlijn(links) symboliseert een grotere verantwoordelijkheid omdat hij de mensen om hem heen moet beschermen, terwijl de derde pamorlijn(midden) bedoeld is voor degenen die voorbestemd zijn om "grote mensen" te worden die instaat is hele naties te beschermen. Tejo-Kinuring versterkt de leiderschapskwaliteiten en charisma van de eigenaar waardoor hij zeer geliefd en gerespecteerd wordt door zowel zijn familie als directe omgeving.
 
De Tombak is gemonteerd op een prachtig gesneden manke landeyan met koperen eindstuk. Een al even fijn vervaardigde warangka bedekt de Tombak.
 
 De spirituele en magische kracht van deze Tombak is groot. De isi openbaarde zich aan mij als een oude en machtige krijgsheer. Op verzoek vertel ik graag meer over de spirituele krachten ervan.
